A barber has denied murdering his ex-girlfriend who is believed to have fallen to her death from a window, and admitted breaching a restraining order.
Kathleen John, a 39-year-old hospital nurse and mum, died after reports she had fallen from a window in London Raod, Wembley, north-west London in the early hours of Friday July 29 this year.
Police, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended but despite their efforts, Kathleen died at the scene.
A pathologist found significant injuries consistent with a heavy fall, including multiple fractures.
Her ex partner Leonidas Georgalla, 50, was charged with her murder and breaching a restraining order and appeared at the Old Bailey today by video-link from Belmarsh prison for a plea hearing.
He denied murdering Ms John on July 29 but admitted acting in breach of a restraining order on that date.
According to the charge, he had contact with Ms John “without reasonable excuse” in breach of the order imposed on May 22.
Judge Angela Rafferty KC confirmed he would stand trial on July 3 next year.
The case is expected to go on for up to three weeks.
The defendant, of Weald Lane, Harrow, north-west London, was further remanded into custody.
